Another ultimate summer learning journey

 Hey readers Today I am going to be telling you about the SLJ  (summer learning journey).

The summer learning journey is a page that helps kids stay smart over the summer holidays. I have already done an activity today. 

How the activity works is; you click on an art you would like to re paint then it will take you to another page to color it . Next you can click on a color and then with that color you can click on the piece that you want to color that color. Once you have colored the whole thing you can look at your work and think of what an amazing job you have done.

The summer learning journey is a programme that helps kids stay smart over the summer holidays. I have already done an activity today. Here is my activity. It is a coloring of 'Christ the redeemer'

How the activity works is; you click on an art you would like to re paint then it will take you to another page to color it . next you can click on a color and then with that color you can click on the piece that you want to color that color. Once you have colored the whole thing you can look at your work and think of what an amazing job you have done.

Tabloid sports

 Hey readers 

Today I am going to be telling you about tabloid sports. Tabloid sports is a morning where the whole school goes out and does sports activities like egg and spoon race,  sack race, bean bag throw, Nerf throw, rat race and many more. My team was Me (Taylor), Hunter (my brother), Ella (my sister), Lyah,  MJ, Neah-Bella, Avnit, luciana, Sasha and Nadia. My team also got third place.

EOTC week

 Hello bloggers today I am going to be telling you about EOTC

EOTC stands for education outside the classroom. 

Thursday was Adrenaline forest, Friday was Mega Air, top teams and swimming, Monday was Phat sk8, Tuesday was the Amazing race, Wednesday was surfing

Only the year five and sixes go to all the activities but the year fours came on Friday

Athletics

Hey bloggers today I am going to be telling you about my Athletics results and my activities.  The  activities were Shot put, Discus, Long jump, High jump, Sprints and long distance running. I only know some places that I got and those are High jump 2nd, sprints also 2nd, long distance running 1st, and long jump was also 2nd.

 Hey guys today I am going to be telling you about the festival of flowers. The festival is where lots of people  make some thing about a flower or a vegetable. I made a lego flower and did lots of flower poems.  Here is my lego flower.

Swimming

Hey bloggers lately my class has been going to Canterbury swim school I have already learnt free style but now I am learning back stroke. We  are going there for two weeks. here is a photo of me practicing my arm circles with the rest of my team.

Inter Class Sport

Hey readers. Today I am going to tell you about inter class sport. The  sports we had a chance to play in are netball, hockey, touch, and soccer. 

I only played in soccer and we made it to the finals versing room 8. We won the final on a penalty shootout.  Today I am going to be versing the staff in soccer (They are scared my teacher told me).

Buddy Class

Hey readers  

Today I am going to tell my readers about buddy class. Every Friday I go over to a junior class (number 4)  My buddy(s) are JoJo and Niko. 

We are going to make a Pokemon house out of card board boxes(fridge boxes). We have started  drawing designs and wrote a list of all the stuff we need. 

When we finish the box I will make another post so you can see it, but... it will be some time next term sorry.

Winnie the Pooh Coordinates

 Hey Bloggers today I am going to be  telling you about mapping coordinates. Mapping coordinates is when we have to look at an instruction and follow it . For an example is 3,4 so that is what we have to do. you start at the bottom line and where it says `3´ you have to follow that line up until you get to the 4th line straight up and down.I had to follow this long list of instructions. Here is my picture hope you like it.      

Zones Soccer

 Hey readers 

Yesterday Thursday the 5th of August I and a few others went to winter sport zones. There were three different sports being played. Soccer, netball, and rugby. I was in the  soccer team. We had 7 games and we lost all seven but at least  we had fun. Here is a photo of the soccer team.

papier mache

 Hey readers I made a papier mache to  make it we we shaped wire to look like a bird and then we put on some layers of news paper. The next step was to put on white paper. Then after that we painted the bird,  and after we painted  the bird we will but on the  details. it is not finished. In case you are wondering our bird is a New Zealand Falcon also known as a Karearea.

Winter Sports Day

Zones Cross Country

 Hey readers yesterday Thursday the 20th of May I went zones Cross Country at Halswell Quarry, to do the running. My results were 13 place out of   30-40 Year 5´s. I saw  my friend from my old school. His name was Sonny, he was the only person from that school!  Surprising right.

How to make a milo

Hey readers,

I have written the steps to make a Milo

Here it is

How To Make A Hot Chocolate

Equipment: jug with the hot water, cup, tea spoon

Ingredients: water,  milo powder , sugar, milk, boiling water

Steps:

1. Boil the jug

2. Grab the cup

3. Put two teaspoons of milo in the cup

4. Put two tea spoons of sugar in the cup

5. Put in milk in the cup up to almost  one quarter of the way 

6. Put in the boiling water into the cup

7. Stir it until it looks nice 

8. Put marshmallow in the hot chocolate  

9. Drink it!

Then we had a chance to make it. I didn't really like it because there no sugar to put in it.

Letter Writing

 Hey readers,

This week our topic for writing is letter writing. We were writing  to the people who looked after us in the holidays . I  wrote sorry and thank you to my caregiver. 

The steps were the write the address you are at,  the date, who it was to and we had to write the letter saying what ever you want and after that you had to put a conclusion at the end of it. A conclusion is like get back to me please. 

After that we had to make an envelope, for most of the class this was impossible. It was pretty easy for me.

Cross country and Shared lunch

Thursday 15th April  we had the cross country and lucky me I came first  Mason came second with Drew Zander came third and fourth was Caleb and after that I don't know who came fifth. 

When we came back to school we had shared lunch. My first choice was  a sandwich, blue berry muffin , cookie. When  I had my second choice I had 2 chip sandwiches and some water melon.

Easter

On Easter Sunday  I went to the Mad Hatters Tea Party at the airport.  The characters were the Mad Hatter and Rabbit. It was a program  were we could make Easter eggs,  eat chocolate  and get face paints. I got face painted of a blue Rabbit.

Mufti day

Hey readers 

Today (Friday 26th March) we had mufti day. We had mufti day to thank us for having good behaviour in the playground.  Normally we get rewarded for good behaviour in the playground by getting a kete card, and it goes in the kete mail box, Every two week 3 names get pulled out. The probability of having your name pulled out isn't high.  So this was a way to say thanks.

Football Festivle

Hey readers 

Today we went to football festival. It was really fun we played turtle tag and knee tag knee tag to warm up. knee tag is where we have to tag each others knee. Each time you get someones knee you get 100 points and you have to count up how much you get all together.

Duffy theater

 Hey readers      

Today we went to Duffy theater. We rushed out the door to make it to the gym to see the show. We were really early so we had to wait around and I got really impatient. But anyway it started eventually. 

The actors were Dylan who was Duffy. Jess was Mum, Sister, Scruffy and chickens. Arede  was aunt, mum, chickens and  lots of other things like moo-moo molly and the pig who I don’t know it‘s name.

 After they explained and told us who they were going to be playing. They sang  the Duffy song in New Zealand sign language and English.  I hadn’t even heard of the song before so I just sat there and listened and had A little jiggle. 

After the Duffy song, A few minutes later into the play Duffy’s teacher came into the play and she had trouble hearing Duffy because her mute was on. Duffy tried to tell her but she couldn't  hear him because she had her mute on but then she turned it on and Duffy got really bored and pretended to be glitching out. 

Following that he got an email from his teacher about work. He had to do a book review  on Dutch tea spoons . He had been doing book reviews for a long long time.

Meanwhile Scruffy was playing on her tablet, She was on Snap-chat. She kept on taking photos of Duffy and making him look like a baby and a pig. He started to get very furious and he could not take it any more so he snatched scruffy's tablet and he threw both his and Scruffy's tablets out the window.  

After that aunt rang mum to tell her that Duffy threw the tablets out the window. Mum then said that she will Buy some more for them but  they had to earn it. So they got there tablets and the story ended.

 

100 word count activities

 Hey readers I have been working on  my 100 word count. 100 word count is were we have to use a prompt for the week(The teacher will give us the prompt every week) and we have to write a short story using  that prompt or using the words at some point in the writing. The piece of writing has to be exactly 100 words. Here it is, please leave me a comment.

Week 5 Balloon never frightened brown kicked It was my birthday, we had lots of fun. The house was almost full of balloons. The colors of the balloons were brown, purple, green, blue, yellow and some red. I’d never had balloons but this time I did have balloons. I kept`vv on running through the house kicking the balloons. We had the cake, it was brown chocolate, my favorite. It was now time for the Pinata. I whacked it 10 times and it didn’t come down so I got my dad to hit it and then it came down. I ended up having a whole lot of lollies.

Touch

 hey readers I am writing about touch. I am in the dodgers team but I have already quit. I quit because we were so late but  that was because we were taking forever to do our chores so we were late. This wasn't my team because i couldn't find a photo of me
